The PDS will have concurrent breakouts (including a 2 hour Ethics session required for CIHs and those planning on sitting for the CIH exam).
The Essentials of Hazardous Materials Management Course*

(A 4-Day Course - helpful in studying for the CHMM exam. This course runs Tuesday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM each day. A light breakfast, breaks, and lunch are provided as well as a participant binder of presentation slides and electronic copy of the 3rd Edition of the AHMP Desk Reference.)
This will be a multiple track event including a 2-hour Ethics session as required by the ABIH for existing and potential CIH's and candidates.

At Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus in Rockville, near Shady Grove Hospital

Directions to the JHU-Rockville campus are as follows:
From I-270.
Take Exit 6, Rt. 28 off of I-270 and head west towards Darnestown.
- In approximately 2.5 – 2.6 miles you will cross Shady Grove road.
- Go to the next traffic light and get into the left turn lane for Medical Center Drive and turn left onto Medical Center drive then an immediate right into the NCI.
- There will be a building immediately in front of you (slightly to your right). Bear right at the building and then continue straight and park in the lot at the end. Do not park in the NCI garage.
- When walking from the parking lot, go to the second building, 9601 Gilchrist Hall.
- Enter the building register in the lobby. Registration opens at 7:30 Breakfast will be set-up by then. The seminar begins promptly at 8:15.
From the ICC.
Take ICC (MD Rt. 200) to the end and continue on I-370 which becomes Sam Eig Hwy. Go to end of Sam Eig and at the end (T intersection) turn left at the traffic light onto Great Seneca Hwy
- Go to the next traffic light and turn left onto Rt. 28, Key West Hwy.
- Go to the first traffic light turn right on Broschart Rd. then make the first left into the parking lot.
- When walking from the parking lot, go to the second building, 9601 Gilchrist Hall.
- Enter the building register in the lobby. Registration opens at 7:30 Breakfast will be set-up by then. The seminar begins promptly at 8:15.
The PDS will have up to three options per time slot that participants can choose any topic. A tentative schedule (subject to change) will be posted as speakers, times, and topics are confirmed.
