The Essentials of Hazardous Materials Management Course

2/25/14 - 2/28/14

(A 4-Day Course - formerly known as the overview course and helpful in studying for the CHMM exam.  This course runs Tuesday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM each day (Friday typically has an early end).  A light breakfast, breaks, and lunch are provided as well as a participant binder of presentation slides.)

At Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus in Rockville, near Shady Grove Hospital

Gilchrist Hall, 9601 Medical Center Drive, Rockville, MD

The PDC features two keynote speakers;

Brent Fryrear, Director of “Partnership for a Green City, University of Louisville Urban Studies Institute” will discuss “How to Implement a Successful Sustainability Program in the Community”

Dr. Clifford Mitchell, Director of Environmental Health Coordination and Preventive Medicine/Public Health Residency Programs at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene .

 The PDC will have concurrent breakouts (including a 2 hour Ethics session required for CIHs and those planning on sitting for the CIH exam).

The EHMM Course will cover 23 topics over 4 days and is taught by experts on these topics. The class has been expanded to 4 days without increasing the price based on feedback from previous sessions. This allows for more student to teacher interactions. This class is great for individuals who are preparing to sit for the CHMM exam and for those who are knew to the EHS field and would like an overview of key regulations affecting the area.
